Investment Objectives
The investment objective of the Family Charities Ethical Trust is to achieve long-term growth over a ten-year period by tracking the Financial Times StockExchange ('FTSE') 4Good UK 50 Total Return Share Index ('the Index').
The Index represents the 50 largest companies by market capitalisationquoted on the London Stock Exchange that can demonstrably show they areworking towards the following ethical standards:
- Environmental sustainability
- Adapting to and mitigating climate change
- Countering bribery
- Upholding and supporting human rights
- Ensuring good supply-chain labour standards
The Index also avoids investment in companies involved in the production ofproducts such as tobacco and weapons.
