Fund Aims

The fund aims to provide exposure to an ethically screened portfolio of assets in order to produce capital growth while providing some protection against market falls. The potential for capital growth comes from investing part of the fund in an ethically-screened equity fund. The balance is mainly invested in a cash fund to help provide the protection. The cash fund invests in money market instruments and short-term bonds. The amount invested in the equity and cash funds is monitored daily and the balance between them is adjusted depending on market conditions. While the fund is designed to protect against stock market falls, there is no guarantee that it will achieve the required level of protection in every situation. The fund may use derivatives for investment purposes.
