Objectives:

The Fund seeks to promote environmental and social characteristics by investing in companies that are either transitioning their business to a sustainable path, enabling the transition of others, or both. For each portfolio holding a principles-based approach is taken to evaluate a company’s willingness and ability, emphasising qualitative forward-looking analysis supported by rigorous quantitative datasets. The Fund will include environmentally sustainable investments as defined in the EU Taxonomy Regulation. The Fund also promotes good governance using a principles based approach.

Sustainable, Responsible
&/or ESG Overview:

We believe that sustainability means meeting the needs of today without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. We are living in an unsustainable world. Therefore, when considering stocks for the Global Equity Transitions portfolio from our 200-300 pool of shareholder wealth creating, attractively valued companies, we seek to establish a thesis of credible and material contribution to the sustainability transition in each stock through positions in “Improvers” that are transitioning their business to a more sustainable path, or in “Enablers” of someone else’s transition. A stock may also be both an Improver and Enabler.

Thus, a key difference between the Global Equity Transitions strategy and many traditional sustainable solutions is that our focus is on change rather than just current level. Our belief is that simply avoiding companies with sustainability challenges will not drive meaningful real-world impact.
