EIRIS Foundation release new fund market size estimate during Good Money Week.
The following information was recently published by the EIRIS Foundation:
“Investment in UK green and ethical funds has grown significantly in 2020 to £33.5 billion according to our latest research on the size of the retail market. We were pleased to report this during Good Money Week 2020 in October. This figure is based on the funds under management figures of UK domiciled green and/or ethical retail funds. This year’s estimate, significantly up from £25.3 billion in 2019, reflects a growing demand for investment products that incorporate consumer concerns for environmental and social issues.
(Note – According to recent reports the IA has indicated that SRI retail fund inflows were four times higher in 2020 than they were in 2019. See: https://ifamagazine.com/article/ia-reports-record-7-1bn-flows-into-responsible-investment-funds-in-2020-so-far/)
