Fund EcoMarket launch release

Online adviser tool ‘Fund EcoMarket’ launched to unlock ethical investment opportunities

 London, 16 October 2015

sriServices has launched a new online database tool ‘Fund EcoMarket’ to help financial advisers bring Sustainable, Responsible and Ethical Investment into their advice processes.  It will be formally launched at an event on 9 November, at Rathbones offices in London.

Fund EcoMarket offers specialist sustainable, responsible and ethical investment (SRI) support in the form of an online database tool and information hub.   It is open to all and free to use – but is primarily intended for financial advisers.

Fund EcoMarket has been created in response to generally poor adviser support for this area.  Its aim is to make it easier for all financial advisers to meet the needs of clients who are interested in social, ethical and environmental issues – as this area is commonly overlooked by conventional support service providers.

Explaining why Fund EcoMarket came about sriServices founder Julia Dreblow commented:  “For years now many Financial Advisers have been reluctant to ask clients if they are interested in ethical, sustainable or responsible investment (SRI) as they have had no sensible way of satisfying the needs of clients who say ‘Yes, I am interested’.

Fund EcoMarket fills this gap.  It focuses entirely on sustainable, responsible and ethical information that is often hard to find.  All funds are listed.  Fund EcoMarket segments options according to their core SRI/ethical characteristics – as well as by their product and asset types.  This makes ethically relevant options easy to find and compare.

Fund EcoMarket has been designed to compliment advisers’ existing processes.  It includes an online ‘SRI StyleFinder’ fact find questionnaire, a whole of SRI market filterable database, text and links from fund managers and a full reporting function that helps fulfil adviser audit trail requirements.

Attendees at the 9 November event will also hear from leading sustainability and ethical investment fund managers from Alliance Trust and Rathbones – two of the Fund EcoMarket’s supporting fund managers – as well as from the CEO of SRI industry association UKSIF.
