Fund EcoMarket 2.0 (beta site) now LIVE!

Fund EcoMarket is our unique, comprehensive SRI and ethical investment database tool for the ‘individual investor’ world.  FEM has been up and running since 2011 and over that time we have learned a great deal… all of which has now been brought into ”version 2′.

Thanks to sponsorship from Alliance Trust, Pictet and Rathbones and support from RSMR (who we partner with on various projects) & PanaceaAdviser (who feature this tool on their Ethical Zone) we have made the following improvements:

• A new tabular form open structure (you no longer need to log in)
• Improved filtering, including new filters for ‘Ethical/SRI Policies’ and ‘Other SRI Features’
• The ability to search SRI / ethical funds by name
• Fund specific ‘ethical/SRI’ information and links
• An improved ‘bespoke’ adviser report function

This shiny new version combines the popular features of the version 1 – in that it lists ALL regulated, retail onshore SRI & ethical fund options, segmented by SRI Style, Product and Investment Area.  

A client’s best fit ‘ SRI Style’  or Styles  can be identified on the ‘SRI StyleFinder’ Fact Find Questionnaire which is clearly marked on the FEM home page along with information ‘What is SRI and What are SRI Styles?’.

The tool remains focused entirely on the ethical aspects of investment (as advisers already have other product and fund information – so that would be a waste of limited resources!) – and is still free to use (although we charge a small fee for advisers to join our ‘Find an Adviser’ list). 

What else has improved?

• You no longer need to log in – saving you time and effort.  Please note – this means that although FEM is primarily intended for advisers it is open for everyone to access…
• All funds are shown in tabular form from the home page
• All funds are listed but our wonderful sponsors (without whom this new version would not exist) are highlighted and have their logos displayed
• The ‘SRI StyleFinder’ fact find questionnaire tool now has its own button on the home page
• The ‘Find Adviser’ button is now more visible on this site (nb this button will soon be removed from the  ‘StyleFinder.FundEcoMarket’ microsite)

What is yet to come?

• We are still adding ‘detail’ to our fund entries.  At present we have only contact OEIC providers for their data so be aware that some of the filters do not yet apply to other fund types.
• We are still making tweaks to the behind the scenes data.
